Our lab has a Current Topics article, “Arthropod Innate Immune Systems and Vector-Borne Diseases” just published in Biochemistry.We discuss the robust defense insects mount against different classes of microbes, open questions regarding the molecular mechanisms of immunity, and efforts to leverage this knowledge to disrupt the transmission of diseases such as malaria, Dengue and Zika.
